Cookies Policy
Notice: This document is a draft prepared for general information purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice. LA Technology Group recommends review by a licensed California attorney before reliance for any commercial transaction. Last updated: May 27, 2026.
This Cookies Policy explains how LA Technology Group ("we," "us," "our") uses cookies and similar storage on our website. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Do
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit. They help the site remember things between page loads and visits, such as whether you are signed in, what language you prefer, or whether you have accepted analytics tracking.
Some cookies are set by us directly (first-party). Others are set by services we embed, such as a booking widget (third-party).
A cookie usually contains a small identifier and an expiration date. It does not contain personal documents or files from your device, and it cannot run programs on your computer.
2. Categories We Use
We group cookies and similar storage into three categories.
2.1 Essential (Always On)
These cookies are required for the site to work. They cannot be turned off through the consent banner.
- Session identifier — keeps you connected during a single visit.
- CSRF token — protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery attacks.
- Rate-limit tracking — counts requests per IP address to block automated abuse.
Essential cookies expire when you close the browser, or within 24 hours, depending on the cookie.
2.2 Analytics (Consent Required)
These cookies help us see how visitors use the site so we can improve it. They run only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner.
- Google Analytics 4 — counts page views, sessions, and aggregated visitor flows. Data is sent to Google in the United States. See policies.google.com/privacy.
Analytics cookies expire within 14 months.
2.3 Preferences (Consent Required)
These cookies remember choices you have made so you do not have to make them again.
- Theme — remembers light or dark mode.
- Cookie consent state — records what you accepted in the banner so we do not ask again every visit.
Preferences expire within 12 months.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some pages embed third-party services that set their own cookies under their own privacy policies:
- Cal.com booking widget — if you open the booking embed on our contact page, Cal.com may set cookies to remember your time zone and booking session. See cal.com/privacy.
- Vercel Analytics — first-party analytics provided by our hosting platform. This service uses anonymous, aggregated data and does not rely on tracking cookies for personalization. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We do not run advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social-media tracking pixels on our site.
4. How to Consent or Withdraw
The first time you visit, a cookie banner appears at the bottom of the page. You can:
- Accept all — allow essential, analytics, and preferences cookies.
- Reject non-essential — keep only essential cookies; no analytics or preferences cookies are set.
- Customize — choose categories individually.
You can change your choice at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent stops new non-essential cookies from being set and clears existing analytics cookies on your next page load.
If you reject analytics or preferences, the site still works, but we cannot remember your theme choice and we lose some visibility into general usage patterns.
5. localStorage and Similar Storage
We also use a small amount of browser localStorage. Although localStorage is technically not a cookie, the law treats it the same way under CCPA and GDPR. The key things we store are:
- cookie-consent — your choice from the consent banner, so we do not ask again every visit.
- theme — your light/dark preference, if you chose one.
You can clear localStorage through your browser's site settings. Doing so will reset your consent choice, and the banner will appear again.
6. Browser Controls
You can control or block cookies through your browser. Each browser is slightly different:
- Google Chrome — support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Mozilla Firefox — support.mozilla.org/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer
- Apple Safari — support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-sfri11471
- Microsoft Edge — support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/delete-cookies-in-microsoft-edge-63947406-40ac-c3b8-57b9-2a946a29ae09
Blocking all cookies in the browser may break parts of this site that depend on essential cookies (for example, contact forms protected by CSRF tokens).
You can also enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We honor GPC signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing under California law, even though we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when we change tools or services. If we add a new category of cookies or a new third-party service, we will update the banner so you can review your choices again. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
